What is Labiaplasty?
Labiaplasty is a procedure that is surgically performed and it involves reshaping or shortening the vaginal lips, or labia, to reduce the size. The procedure is performed using a scalpel to remove unwanted tissue, and the loose edge may be stitched with dissolvable stitches. It is done under local anesthesia. It usually takes about one to two hours, and patients may be able to go home the same day. Recovery typically takes four to six weeks.
